Dr. Alisha Song DMD

Dr. Alisha Song earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she discovered her love for pediatric dentistry. She completed her pediatric dentistry residency at New York University/Bellevue Hospital, where she received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for providing care in both New York and Guatemala. Her research on caries arrest in children also earned national recognition and is currently under review for publication.

Growing up, Alisha had her fair share of dental visits, and her mom once joked that she should become a dentist since she spent so much time there. That lighthearted comment planted the seed for a lifelong passion. As she continued her studies, Alisha fell in love with the mix of science, creativity, and compassion that dentistry offers.

Dr. Song was inspired to join Acorn Dentistry for Kids after meeting Dr. Tim and Mat at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry conference. She immediately connected with Acorn’s mission that every child gets a smile and its focus on making dental visits a positive, anxiety-free experience.

Outside of work, Alisha loves to hike, longboard, try new foods, and make music with friends. A classically trained pianist, she enjoys recreating songs from movies and film, especially Disney favorites, and is currently learning all the music from K-pop Demon Hunters.
