If a parent or guardian refuses to provide history, it may affect the provider’s ability to safely treat the child, but the obligation to attempt to obtain and maintain this history is a part of professional standards required by state regulations.

We ask for photos so that our dental assistants can easily identify who they’re bringing back for an appointment, and to ensure we’re not bringing back the wrong patient for the wrong type of appointment.

We ask parents to check in 15 minutes early so we can ensure that all questions are answered, and all paperwork is completed prior to their appointment start time. To be able to see as many kiddos as possible, we have a very strict late policy and if patients are late, we may have to work them back into the schedule to ensure that our patients who showed up on time are able to be brought back on time.
