Dr. Cole Staines

Born and raised near Buffalo, New York, Dr. Cole Staines completed both his undergraduate studies and dental school at the University at Buffalo before completing his pediatric dentistry residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. During his training, he also participated in international dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

After residency, Dr. Staines spent seven years practicing near Greenville, South Carolina. Although he loved his time there, he had always dreamed of experiencing life out West. Drawn to the Pacific Northwest’s incredible scenery and outdoor recreation, he knew it would be the perfect place for his next chapter. When he learned about Acorn, he immediately connected with the practice’s approach to patient care and knew it would be a wonderful fit.

Dr. Staines discovered pediatric dentistry while in dental school and quickly realized it was the right specialty for him. He loves helping children work through their nerves, making dental visits feel less intimidating, and embracing his own inner child along the way. Kids may be wonderfully honest and occasionally humbling, but the fun and belly laughs make him certain he wouldn’t want to do anything else.

Outside the office, Dr. Staines is an avid runner and is currently training for his seventh marathon in New York City. He also enjoys hiking, trail running, and exploring national parks. As a proud Buffalo native, he is a devoted Bills fan and serious chicken-wing enthusiast. He is firmly on team flats!
