Acorn Dentistry For Kids is bringing the community together for a spooky and meaningful morning of movement, fun, and giving at its third annual 5K Fun Run & Walk on October 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem’s Riverfront City Park.
This year’s Halloween-themed event invites participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk, push a stroller, or simply come out and cheer on their community. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, and participants are encouraged to dress up for the occasion. There will also be adult and kids’ costume contests, with prizes awarded to the best costumes.
Most importantly, 100% of proceeds from the event will benefit two organizations supporting children and families: Acorn Kids International Charities and Every Child Oregon.
Supporting Children Around the World and Here at Home
Through Acorn Kids International Charities, funds raised will help provide children in Kenya with access to education, care, and support.
The event also benefits Every Child Oregon, an organization working to support children and families impacted by foster care throughout Oregon.
By participating in the 5K, community members can enjoy a fun morning together while helping make a difference in the lives of children both locally and around the world.
Race Participants Can Also Enjoy a Free Barre3 Class
This year, Acorn Dentistry For Kids is partnering with Barre3 Salem to offer registered 5K participants a private Barre3 class following the event.
The class is free for 5K participants, with space limited to 30 people. Participants must register for the 5K and reserve their spot in the Barre3 class separately.
