Dr. Armin Afshar

Armin Afshar, DDS

Dr. Armin’s passion for pediatric dentistry was born from his extensive time volunteering to serve underprivileged people with outreaches serving children in small towns in California and Northern Mexico. During his time with USC Mobile Clinic, he was awarded the “Charles M. and Shirley Gold stein Endowed Community Service Award,” recognizing his outstanding dedication, vision, and heart. His devotion to helping the under served is a massive part of what makes Dr. Armin a great fit at our “Magical Place.”

Dr. Armin Afshar earned a Bachelor’s of Biology from California State University, Northridge, and his doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. After earning his doctorate, he attended the NYO Langone Pediatric Dental residency program in Hawaii and graduated with his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. During his residency, he received specialized training on several critical pediatric dental needs, like pediatric restorative dentistry, behavioral management, dentistry for special needs patients, and hospital dentistry. Dr. Armin is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Armin is also the author of “Shiny Happy Teeth,” aimed at instilling good oral hygiene habits in children from a young age. He has maintained a childhood passion for art, especially drawing, and loves cooking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Through his travels and volunteer work, Dr. Armin has always appreciated the beauty, kind people, and culture of the Pacific Northwest. After his residency, he was ecstatic to get a chance to move here to Oregon to practice his passion for bringing healthy smiles to kids.
